Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
Comm. 1095: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
(Res. 401) ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION
FEDERAL/STATE/COUNTY FUNDED (PART-TIME)
From Director of Personnel Services Edward L. Silva
dated March 22, 1979 submitting for adoption, a
resolution to amend the Salary Ordinance, as a
result of classification studies duly authorized
by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the
Administrative Review Committee in accordance with
Section 4-5(c) of the County Charter;
recommends Council approve the reallocation of the following positions
to Senior Community Services Aid $3.35 hourly for the Elderly Activities
Division, Department of Parks and Recreation: Teacher's Aid -Clerk
13.35 hourly (1); Senior Recreation Aid $3.35 hourly (1); Librarian Aid
3.35 hourly (1); Clerical Aid $3.35 hourly (1); and Maintenance Aid
3.35 hourly (3). The rationale for the reallocations is to better
utilize the services of the employees by giving a broad classification
rather than that of a specialized one.
Further recommends the accompanying Resolution 401 be adopted to
accomplish this purpose.
