JOB NO. P-2253
From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated May 23,
1979 informing the low bidder of the subject
project was M. Sonomura Contracting Co. , Inc. ,
• with a bid of $50, 630. 00 which is over the
available $35,000 appropriation under Ordinance
No. 427 and requests an additional appropriation
. . of $20,00.0 be authorized, including about
8-1/2% for contingency fund, so that an early
award for construction can be made. The implementa-
tion of the project will provide a safe pedestrian
link between Banyan Drive and Kalanianaole Street •
and to prevent erosion of the pond bank and
roadway shoulders;
recommends Council authorize the .additional appropriation of
$20,000 for the Kalanianable Street and Banyan Way Walkway, Job
No. P-2253.
