UNITED STATES OF AMERICA . VS . COUNTY OF HAWAII, ET AL.
From Deputy Corporation Counsel Stephen. J. Menezes
dated May 22, 1979 informing they would like to
submit their recommendation for settlement of the
subject case and asks that the matter be placed
upon the agenda of the Finance Committee as soon as
• possible and that -the discussion be held in
executive session;
recommends Council approve the following in the settlement of
U. S . District -Court Civil Action No. 75-0291, United States of
America vs. County of Hawaii, et al:
(1) regular civil service status to '
Mr. Peter C . Aiona, Jr. , as Special
• Investigator in the Office of the
Prosecuting. Attorney;
(2) seniority retroactive for lay-off
purposes only; and
•
(3) cash settlement of $54000.
