Your Committee on Finance to which was referred :
,fict. Comm. 1203 : DAMAGE CLAIM OF STEPHEN L. MERRITT
From Corporation Counsel. Stephen G. Bess dated
July 2, 1979 informing Mr. Merritt does not have
any legal claim against the County for the alleged
• injuries suffered on November 9, 197$ and
recommends that the claim be denied .
•
Mr. Merritt 's claim is for medical expenses as a
result of injuries sustained while playing basket-
ball in the Puna Open League in Keaau on
• November 9, 1978 when he was struck in the eye by
one of the players;
recommends Council deny the claim of Stephen L. Merritt, based on the
• that by the Corporation Counsel t at Mr. Merritt does not have
any legal claim against the County of Hawaii for the alleged injuries
suffered on November 9, 1978.
