Your ' Committee on Finance to which was referred :
Bill 500:. REAL PROPERTY TAX ORDINANCE
A bill for an ordinance relating to real property
taxes, including penalties for violations;.
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 500 on first reading and
refer back to Finance Committee to conduct public hearings.

The purpose of the bill is to implement the authority granted to the
County of Hawaii to assess, impose, and collect real property taxes
-based on an amendment to the- Constitution of the State of Hawaii
which was adopted on November 7, 1978, by the electorate. •
