Comm. 1231: PAPAIKOU GYMNASIUM
(Bill 505) From Direct,or.., of. Finance Stanley A. Nakamae
- dated July 31, 1979 informing they have accepted
an offer of settlement from the insurance
company for the fire loss of Papaikou Gymnasium.
The offer is for the total stated amount for
the gymnasium of $263, 500, plus $18,000 for
debris removal, minus $50.00 deductible, for a
net amount of X231, 500.
• Further informs the Parks and Recreation Depart-
ment plans to construct a recreation facility
with the proceeds and submits an ordinance bill
to appropriate the funds;
recommends Council approve and adopt on first reading, Bill 505,
amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 443 by adding estimated receipt
of $231, 500 for Reimbursement Fire Loss, and appropriating to the
Department of Parks and Recreation project, Papaikou Recreation
Facility.
