Your Committee on Finance to which was referred:
4i Comm. 1281 : FEDERAL FUNDS FOR WAILUKU-ALENAIO WATERSHED PROJECT
(Bill 519) From Director. of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
August 24, 1979 submitting an ordinance bill
appropriating $500,000 of Federal funds from the
Soil Conservation Service for the Wailuku-Alenaio
Watershed project carried over from last fiscal year
with the work underway. Informs reimbursements are
now being received from the Federal government and
instead of appropriating such receipts every time
they are received in piece-meal fashion, as required
bythe Council this year, asks that the full amount
of receivables be appropriated ro ria
ted once•
recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 519 on first reading.
The bill amends Section 1 of Ordinance No. 443 by increasing Federal
Grants Receivable from the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Soil
Conservation Service, in the amount_ of $500 ,000 and appropriating to
the Department of Public Works , Wailuku-Alenaio Watershed project.
