Your Committee on Finance to which were referred :
'Comm. 1115 .1: LEASING OF PUBLIC FACILITIES
(C-1115/FC-151 - RESOLUTION 413 )
From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
July 23 , 1979 informing a review of properties on
County inventory and input from agencies indicate
that the opportunity to lease public facilities is
very limited unless some hard decisions are made to
abandon some facilities or modify public utilization
of facilities in trying to increase revenues and/or
decrease operation costs. Submits a list of
properties which have been identified as potential
candidates for sale, leasing or abandonment and
also a list of other recreational facilities that
could be leased with information on operations and
maintenance costs and revenues.
1115.3 : From Director of Finance Stanley A . Nakamae dated
September 26, 1979 providing additional information
on facilities which could be considered for sale,
lease, abandonment or operation, and offers their
services in helping the Council develop broad
policy guidelines for public facilities.
1115 .4: From Councilwoman Merle K. Lai dated November 1,
1979 informing of directions that can be made to
administration on the six facilities contained in
C-1115 .1. Recommends the administration constantly
review the major programs of the facilities as they
are in the best position to evaluate the effective-
ness of any facility and to make any recommendations
to the Council; further recommends that no action be
taken on any of the major facilities listed in
Ilk

recommends the communications be placed on file; accept the
recommendations as contained in C-1115 .4 and request administration
