Re: Nomination of Joseph B. Clarkson
Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Joseph B. Clarkson of Council District 1 to the Hawai'i
County's Windward Planning Commission. Mr. Clarkson previously served 8 months
on this Commission (April 2016 - December 2016) to finish a vacancy left by another
Commissioner. He is willing to continue to serve a full term of 5-years.
Mr. Clarkson is a retired Chief Engineer and states that he is affiliated with the
Democratic party. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2021.
