COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 265 Y,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 38, Revised Ordinances of the
County of Hawaii 1960, provides for the naming of the public
streets, highways and roads in the City of Hilo, County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, there exists confusion in the usage of names
for such public streets, highways and roads within the City
of. Hilo; and.
WHEREAS, it is desirable to properly designate such roadways
or thoroughfares as avenues, streets, drives, lanes or roads,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
that the following designations are hereby adopted for all
roadways within the boundaries of the District of South Hilo,
County of Hawaii :
a. The following shall be designated as avenues:
1. Kamehameha
2. Kanoelehua
3. Kilauea
4. Waianuenue
b. The following shall be designated as streets: .
1. Bishop 17. Pewili
2. Haihai 18. Keawe

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that wherever a road is designated
an avenue, street, drive, lane or road, and it is in conflict
with the designation in any other ordinance of the County of
Hawaii, the designation which is adopted by resolution super-
sedes and shall be deemed the proper designation where such
conflict appears.
