Your Committee on Finance to which were referred :
Comm. 1433 : CHANGE IN EXPIRATION DATE FOR PENSION BOARD MEMBER
From Mayor Herbert T. .Matayoshi dated January 2,
1980 advising that the expiration date for
Mr. Horace Kawamura, who is presently serving. on
the Pension Board, is December 31, 19$0 instead
of January 2$, 19$0 as Mr. Kawamura replaced
Edward Visaya whose term was from December 31,
1975 to December 31, 1980 . Informs in keeping with
Section 7-3 .2 and Section 13-4 of the County
Charter, the December 31, 19$0 date would be in
concert with the five years staggered requirement
of this Commission.
LP-, 1433 .1: From Dr. Edward K . Fujimoto, Mayor's Administrative
Aide, dated January 7, 19$0 informing of the
discrepancy in their January 2 correspondence
regarding Mr . Horace Kawamura, that he has been
fulfilling his own five-year term rather than the
unexpired term of Edward Visaya ;
recommends Council accept the change in expiration date for
Mr. Horace Kawamura, Pension Board member, from January 2$, 19$0
to December 31, 1980 .
