Your Committee on Finance to which were referred :
Bill 550: TRAVEL POLICY
Amends Chapter 2, Article 10, Section 4 of the
Hawaii County Code relating to travel and other
• expenses ;

4 Comm. 13$4 .1: From Finance Committee Chairman Harvey S . Tajiri
dated January 21, 19$0 informing proposed Bill 550
is not consistent with the recently negotiated
union contracts and recommends amendments for
uniformity in the area of overnight travel allotments
as they pertain to fraction of a day consideration
and to include the recently enacted provisions of
Chapter $9C pertaining to public officers and
employees excluded from collective bargaining . The
proposed amendments will clarify and provide for
consistency in the administration of the policy on
travel and other expenses throughout the County;
recommends approval of the proposed amendments to Bill 550, as
submitted by the Finance Committee Chairman, to provide clarity and
consistency in the administration of the policy on travel and other
expenses throughout the County.
Further recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 550, as amended,
on second and final reading .
