Yamashiro dated January 11, 19$0 recommending the Department of Parks and Recreation be authorized to initiate a ten-hour hunter-hiker safety class on a trial basis with an initial funding of $125 to be determined by the Director of Finance . A class of this nature would educate those who choose to venture into the lush forest areas and should cut down the number of lost hunters-hikers response by the County rescue operations ; recommends Council authorize the Parks & Recreation Department to initiate a hunter-hiker safety class on a trial basis and refer the funding request of $1,25 to the Finance Director.
