Your Committee on Finance to which was referred :
Comm. 1512: SALARY ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS - DEPARTMENTS OF PUBLIC
(Res . 5$7) WORKS, PLANNING, PARKS AND RECREATION, RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT, WATER SUPPLY, OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
(OFFICE OF MANPOWER RESOURCES)
From Director of Personnel Services Edward L. Silva
dated March 25, 19$0 submitting for adoption, a
resolution to amend the salary ordinance as a result
of classification studies of new positions duly
authorized by the Department of Public Works, the
Administrative Review Committee and the Water
Commission in accordance with Section 4-5 (c ) of
the County Charter . The resolution also deletes
positions for several departments ;
recommends approval of the addition of the following positions:
(1) One new position of Equipment Operations Instructor SR-17 (Temporary-
as-needed ) for the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Road
Construction and Maintenance, South Hilo ;.
(2) One new position of Equipment Operations Instructor SR-17 (Temporary-
as-needed ) for the Department of Public Works, Bureau of Road
Construction and Maintenance, North and South Kona; and
(3 ) One new position of Senior Construction Inspector SR-21 for the
Department of Water Supply, Engineering Division.
The Committee also recommends the deletion of positions under Federal/
State/County funded programs, CETA Title II and VI, WIN, and SCET programs,
as listed .
Further recommends Council approve and adopt Resolution 5$7 to accomplish
the above purposes .
