CIVIL NO. 5278, THIRD CIRCUIT COURT
APPROPRIATION FOR SPECIAL COUNSEL (C-1228/FC-188)
From Corporation Counsel Stephen G. Bess dated
May 1, 1980 informing the County of Hawaii hired
Mr. Daral Conklin and authorized payment of
$10 ,000 for the subject case. As it appears this
case will go to trial, requests Council authorize
an additional $10 ,000 for legal services enunciated
• in the agreement executed by Mr. Conklin and the
County of Hawaii on August 29 , 1979 ;
recommends Council appropriate an additional $5,000 for legal services
enunciated in the agreement executed by Mr. Daral Conklin and the
County of Hawaii on August 29 , 1979 for Civil No. 5278 , Kuahiwinui ,
et al versus the County of Hawaii , et al.
