Your Committee on Finance to which. was referred:
Comm. 1610 : PAPAIKOU-PAUKAA SEWERAGE SYSTEM
(Res. 659 , 660, From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae- dated
661, Bill 652) July 10 , 1980. informing the low bid for construc-
tion of the Papaikou-Paukaa Sewerage System is
$3, 334 ,200 . The Federal Government will pay 75
percent; the State, 10 percent; and the County,
15 percent ($500 ,130) .
Further informs , in addition to construction, there
is a contract management cost of $300 ,000 , of which
the County ' s share is $45 ,000 . (Total County share -
$545, 130)
In order to fund the project and provide for a
small contingency amount, the attached resolutions
transferring funds from various accounts , and
ordinance bill appropriating $112 ,000 contribution
• from C. Brewer & Company must be adopted;
recommends Council approve and adopt the following resolutions :
(1) Resolution No. 659 to transfer. $50 ,000 from the Hilo Sewer Treat-
ment Plant (Secondary) account to the Papaikou-Paukaa Sewerage
System to transfer a loan until the federal share reimbursement •
-for the consultant contract cost is received for the Papaikou-Paukaa
Sewerage System project; .
(2) Resolution No. 660 to transfer $50 ,000 from various bond fund
accounts to the Papaikou-Paukaa Sewerage System to close out
accounts of completed projects and to transfer the unrequired
cash balances to provide funding for the Papaikou-Paukaa Sewerage
System project.; and.

(3) Resolution No. 661 to transfer $165,166 .10 from various bond fund
accounts to the Papaikou-Paukaa Sewerage System to provide funding
for the construction and construction management contracts for the
Papaikou-Paukaa System project.
Further recommends passage of Bill No. 652 on first reading to appro-
priate contributions from private sources (C. Brewer & Company) in the
amount of $112,000 to the Papaikou-Paukaa Sewerage System project.
