From Corporation Counsel Stephen G. Bess dated
August 13, 1980 informing the County Council
authorized the total sum of $20, 000 for special
counsel Daral G. Conklin to represent the County
in Civil No. 5278. Because of the length of the
. trial, requests approvalfor an additional amount
• of $5, 295 . 62 to conclude their contract with
Mr: Conklin; and submits a resolution transferring
the required amount from the contingency account;
recommends Council: (1) approve an additional amount of $5, 295. 62 to
conclude the contract between Mr . Daral Conklin and the County of
Hawaii.; and (2) adopt the attached Resolution 686 to transfer said
amount from the Contingency account.. to the' Special Counsel. and
Expenses - Kuahiwinui v. County, Civil No. 5278 account.
