Your Committee on Finance' to which was referred:
/S=,_.Comm. 1544. 1: HUD GRANT - HAILI STREET ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECT
(Bill 672) From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
August 26, 1980 .informing the County was awarded
$400,000 from HUD earlier- this year under the Small
Cities Grant (Discretionary) 1979. By Ordinance
No. 591 adopted on June 3, 1980, $110, 000 of' this
grant amount was appropriated for administrative
expense and contingencies, with the balance of
$290, 000 being held pending approval of the •
reprogramming decision. Now that reprogramming
has been approved, submitsan ordinance bill to
appropriate the $290, 000 to the Haili Street
Elderly Housing Project;
recommends .Council approve and adopt Bill 672 on first reading.
NOTE: A resolution for the reprogramming of HUD" grants (_.$180,.948 . 62)
from the Hilo Central City Core: Improvements (:$1:30, 948 . 62) and
the Hilo City Core Improvements ($50, 000) .. to . the_ Hail.i Street
Elderly Housing Project to be submitted* by. the Finance' Dixec:tor
for adoption by the County Council.
