Your Committee on Finance to which was referred :
-. Comm. 1696 : LEASING OF EQUIPMENT FOR POLICE AND FINANCE
(Res. 699) DEPARTMENTS
From Director of Finance Stanley A. Nakamae dated
October 1, 1980 submitting, pursuant to Section 10-11
of the County Charter, a resolution approving leases
for longer than one fiscal year for motor vehicle
information terminals used by the Police and Finance
Departments and data processing and word processing
equipment ;
pursuant to Section 10-11 of the County Charter, recommends Council
adopt Resolution 699 for the purposes of:
(1) Approving the leasing of (a) a Video Display and Printer System
for motor vehicle information transmittal between the City and
County of Honolulu Data Center, and the Department of Finance,
Treasury Division, and Hawaii Police Department for a three-year
period, and (b) a Data Processing and Word Processing equipment
for the County of Hawaii for a five-year period ; and
(2) Budgeting sufficient funds in future fiscal years to cover the
obligation of the County under these multi-year contracts.
