RESOLUTION NO. 116 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION'S EDUCATIONAL SPORTS WORKSHOPS.
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i, Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation
Division, conducts, arranges, and promotes introductory instruction at County recreational
facilities; and
WHEREAS,the Recreation Division plans, conducts, arranges or promotes organized
recreation, athletics, crafts and other leisure time activities for all age groups at recreation centers
and facilities throughout the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS,the Recreation Division is requesting funds for workbooks and other
training material to assist staff with sports training workshops for athletes,parents, and coaches
across the island; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, to assist with expenses associated with educational
sports workshops.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
