COUNTY OF HAWAII +� � if* STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> *14-4.* <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 122 17 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ACQUIRE A PASSENGER VAN FOR THE <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION,ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, <br /> through its Coordinated Services for the Elderly program,provides essential transportation needs <br /> to senior citizens and those with disabilities; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Resolution No. 89-17,the Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> has entered into an agreement with the State of Hawai`i Department of Transportation to acquire <br /> four, 14-passenger vans with the requirement that the County of Hawai`i provide funds for <br /> twenty percent of the total cost of the four vans; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to help defray <br /> the County's share of costs needed to acquire one of the four 14-passenger van; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County will utilize these vans to provide the essential medical, <br /> recreational, and other transportation needs for senior citizens over the age of 60 and those with <br /> disabilities in the North and South Kona area, now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation to help defray the County's share of costs to acquire a 14-passenger van for <br /> the Elderly Activities Division. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the folloing amount as set forth below: <br />
