Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill 18,
reports as follows:
Bill 18, transmitted by Public Works Director Frank J. De Marco, via Communication 143 dated
February 8, 2017, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as amended), relating to parking.
The bill amends Section 24-280 (No parking at anytime), by repealing existing provisions for
portions of Holomua Street, Subsection(c), South Hilo.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 18, and recommends its passage on first reading.
