REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE,WATER AND <br /> ENERGY SUSTAINABILITY <br /> DATE: March 21, 2017 Re: Communication No. 159 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona,Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 11:53 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Agriculture, Water and Energy Sustainability,to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 159,report as follows: <br /> Communication No. 159,transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated February 22, 2017, nominates <br /> Bronsten-Glen Kossow of Council District 7 to the County of Hawai`i Game Management <br /> Advisory Commission. Motion to Approve Nomination of Bronsten-Glen Kossow was made by <br /> Council Member Kanuha; 2nd by Council Member Eoff. <br /> As introduced by Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Harry Kim, Mr. Kossow was <br /> born on Hawai`i Island, is a 3rd year student at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa-Palamanui <br /> campus, and who continues to be active with the Boy Scouts of America where he attained the <br /> rank of Eagle Scout and membership to its Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow. Mr. Kossow <br /> is employed with Paradise Helicopter as a dispatcher and field worker. Mr. Kossow is affiliated <br /> with the Democratic Party and if confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2021. <br /> Nominee Kossow was present and thanked the Committee while expressing his interest in <br /> serving on this commission. <br /> Council Members each echoed the same testament of gratefulness to Mr. Kossow for his <br /> commitment to community service at his young age, and believed he would bring great balance <br /> to the advisory commission. Committee Chair Richards noted that due to Mr. Kossow's <br /> presence today, it was not required for him to attend the upcoming confirmation Council <br /> meeting. <br /> AWESC Report No. 1 <br />
