RESOLUTION NO. 149 17
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2017 SUMMER FUN PROGRAM AT
YANO HALL.
WHEREAS, the 2017 Summer Fun Program at Yano Hall, located in Captain Cook,
provides arts-and-crafts supplies for activities and recreation for low-income, underprivileged
youth during the summer break; and
WHEREAS, funds are needed for the 2017 Summer Fun Program to assist families in
the South Kona district by providing an affordable opportunity for their children to participate in
this program; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be used to offset the
out-of-pocket cost per child for registration fees, transportation, and/or other activities for
elementary school children; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for the 2017 Summer Fun Program at Yano Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
