Poindexter, Council Chair And Members of the Hawaii County Council FROM: Karen Eoff,Council Member ,9 Council District 8 SUBJECT: Attendance at the Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee Meeting on March 15, 2017 at the West Hawai`i Civic Center In accordance with Hawaii Revised Statues 92-2.5(e), I am reporting the attendance of myself, Council Members Maile David and Dru Mamo Kanuha at the Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee's public meeting held on March 15. 2017 at the West Hawai`i Civic Center. Items on the agenda were as follows: I. A Discussion with Public Works Director Frank DeMarco regarding the draft Flood Insurance Rate Maps with regard to the Kona Region. 2. A Discussion with Public Works Director Frank DeMarco regarding the identification by Action Committee members of existing or potential DPW projects which the Action Committee may wish to research. 3. A presentation by and discussion with Planning Director Michael regarding CDP implementation. 4. Discussion regarding the omission of specific provisions for industrial uses with the Kona CDP's "Kona Urban Area". 5. Review of the Mayor's proposed Capital Budget regarding the Kona CDP's recommendations. 6. Review of the County's annual Capital Budget recommendations to the Capital Budget adoption process. 7. Kona CDP Action Committee's objectives for calendar year 2017-2018. Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-2.5(e) states that two or more members of a board, but less than a quorum, may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official board business, including a meeting of another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar, or community meeting; provided that the meeting or presentation is not specifically and exclusively organized for or directed toward members of the board. The section further provides that at the next duly noticed meeting of the board,the board members shall report their attendance and the matters presented and discussed.
