Thank you the opportunity to speak today.
I have volunteered at Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary for five years. During that time
we have spayed or neutered 100 cats and dogs per month. We do not advertise and our
clinics fill up every time. I know we are making progress but feel with your help and
support we could make a difference,that would free this county from the problem within
ten years.
San Francisco Humane Society started a weekly spay and neuter program that ran two
days a week, no reservations needed.
A group in Washington State had a donor who paid who sponsored a clinic for male cats
only, the veterinarian neutered 100 males and when the people came to pick them up,
they all received$10 per cat. For his 1000 dollars which he handed out, 100 cats were
neutered.
Please help us make Hawaii Island pono for all that live and visit here.
