Last year at merrie monarch, the most depressing thing was the tray upon tray of landfill-overwhelming,toxic
styrofoam to carry meals for just 15-20 minutes before they were devoured.
I can only imagine the volume of entirely unrecyclable trash generated from that world renown event.
A few cents extra on a to-go meal is insignificant in the face of irrepairable damage to our priceless 'aina and
ocean.
Please be brave enough to stand up for our sacred planet and support the ban on styrofoam containers.
