Dear members, I hope you will take this first step in legalizing sustainable living. I lived on an experimental eco village
type farm in Waimanalo on Oahu for a few years and it was a challenging and wonderful experience that I I would highly
recommend. I think it is important to itemize the characteristics of an eco village, I.e.cooperative ownership, no carbon
footprint,sustainable agroforestry practices, building from on site or recycled materials, non reliance on fossil fuels, etc.
Then give one point for each item accomplished and require say 7 out of 10 items needed to qualify as an eco village(
sustainable research facility). It will be important to weed out the posers. Regards, Michael deYcaza
