Aloha kakahiaka Councilmembers!
I would like to thank you all for supporting this resolution to encourage our State Legislators to enact a
Sustainable Living Research Bill into law in the next legislative session.
I would like to especially thank Councilmember Jennifer Ruggles and her amazing team for ensuring that this
important conversation continues.
While current permitting processes limit access to full participation in our County due to stringent codes,
regulations and ordinances, this crucial next step will not only allow that access and participation, it will
unleash the creativity and innovations of sustainable living practitioners throughout Hawaii County.
I hope that we can continue to count on all of our Councilmembers, Senators and Representatives to make this a
priority within our next legislative session.
