Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 23, reports as follows:
Bill No. 23, transmitted by Finance Director Collins Tomei, via Communication No. 182 dated
March 16, 2017, amends Ordinance No. 16-72, as amended, the Operating Budget for the
County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Fund Balance Reserved for Liquor Control account and
appropriates to the Public Programs and Travel/Conferences accounts.
Revenue is appropriated as follows:

Total $ 20,000
The above specified amount is appropriated to the fund and expenditure accounts as follows:

010.251.5251.02 Travel/Conferences General $ 10,000
Total $ 20,000
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent
of the Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments or any other public
body or bodies respecting action to be taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish,
expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be
undertaken pursuant to those powers.

Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 23, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
