Objectives:
► Conduct Federal, State and County elections
ow- Increase voter registration and voter turnout
r Make voting easy and accessible for all voters
How Did We Do ?
► The Elections Division conducted the 2016 Primary and General
Elections
► To encourage voter participation, a mass mail-out of Permanent
Absentee Applications were mailed out to all non-permanent
absentee voters
► Conducted Young Voter Registration Program (YVRP) at various high
schools around the island
• Voter registration drives were held at various locations throughout the
community (examples, Senior Centers, Supermarkets, Department
stores, etc.... )

► Implement same day voter registration at 43 polling
places on Election Day

envelopes to prevent sticking due to the humidity

Summary
Overall the Elections Division budget has decreased by $522,570 for FY
17-18. With the Primary Election now being held in August, other
election expenses can now be budgeted for in the next fiscal year.
