SUBJECT: Contingency Relief Funds (Council District 2)
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for a grant to Hui Okinawa to assist with expenses related to LooChoo
Studies workshops, which focus on Ryukyu/Okinawan history, culture, language, and
performing arts, and provide a venue for participants to participate in the multi-cultural
indigenous language renaissance and revitalization movement.
Attached is a resolution authorizing the transfer of$1,100 from the Clerk-Council Services–
Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:
