Re: County of Hawaii and Hawaiian Earth Recycling, LLC
The County of Hawaii ("County") is rescinding its termination notice to Hawaiian Earth
Recycling, LLC ("HER") dated February 16, 2017. The parties are working on a
mutually agreed upon modification and/or supplement to the contract based on changes
to be issued by the County via a change order process that will, among other things,
change the location of the composting facility. The County supports construction of the
facility, which will help divert food waste away from our landfills in furtherance of the
County's Zero Waste Goals.
