Subject: Animal cruelty perpetrated in the name of animal control
I've lived in Hawaii off and on since 1976. And after living in several other states including California and
Colorado, I must state categorically that the state of Hawaii seems to have the cruelest and most backward
animal control policies I have ever seen..
And maybe its just a coincidence and maybe not, but Hawaii also appears to have exceptionally high levels
child abuse, spousal abuse and corruption among its ranks in law enforcement.Not to mention to the high rates
of teen drug abuse and exceptionally low test scores among its students as well...
I don't know why the lawmakers in the state of Hawaii are so backwards in their thinking so as to allow these
things to go unchanged in decades. But its obvious that they do...
Maybe if the lawmakers of this state would develop more humane polices regarding animal control perhaps the
doors to more evolved policies regarding the other previous mentioned problems would slowly matriculate into
the
eneral thought processes and policies regarding some of these other issues as well...

That's just my personal opinion as a now permanent citizen of the state of Hawaii...
