The current fiscal year budget has $1,211,645 appropriated in their Area Plan on Aging account in anticipation of this grant. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this additional $1,000,760 into the Office of Aging's Area Plan on Aging account, bringing the total appropriation to $2,212,405. Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawai`i,this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action.
