Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Coleen J. Pasco of District 9 to the Hawai'i County's
Police Commission. Ms. Pasco, a school teacher, has been employed by the
Department of Education since 1985 and currently teaches at Kohala High School.
She holds a B.Ed degree in Secondary Education from the University of Hawai'i at
Manoa and served 2 years in the US Army. Ms. Pasco has been a resident of Hawaii
for approximately 27 years.
Ms. Pasco is an active member of our island community and has volunteered in
numerous organization and events including being a member of the North Kohala
Library Task Force, treasurer for Kohala PTSO, and team captain for the Relay for Life.
Ms. Pasco states she is a member of the Democratic party. If confirmed, she will serve .
to fill a term ending December 31, 2021.
