Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Dr. Sharon Bintliff of District 9 to the County of Hawai'i
Board of Ethics. Dr. Bintliff is a retired physician and has been a resident of Hawai'i for
over 55 years. She is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Bintliff previously served as a medical emergency physician and a former U.S. Army
medical. She is an active member of our island community and volunteers in
numerous organization including serving on the Hawai'i Medical Board, the Anekona
Community Association, and previously served on the Hawai'i State Ethics Commission.
Dr. Bintliff is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she will serve to fill an
unfilled term ending December 31, 2020. _.
