COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII • • ATE OF•HF'� RESOLUTION NO. 208 11 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A MURAL TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION WHEREAS, Ms. Michelle Obregon and her Konawaena High School Students are donating a mural titled "Water Wing Warrior", valued at $3,500 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, this mural will be located at Konawaena Pool and maintained by the Konawaena Arts Department and CTE Arts and Communication Department; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
