No. 245 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:07 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 245, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 245, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 11, 2017, nominates <br /> Ms. Mary Freitas of Council District 2 to the Hawai`i County Board of Appeals. <br /> Ms. Freitas has lived in Hawai`i for 34 years and is affiliated with the Democratic party. <br /> If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2021. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Nominee Freitas. <br /> Ms. Freitas appeared in person for this nomination. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Ms. Freitas. The vote was then taken with all <br /> Council Members voting"aye."
