No. 248 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:07 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 248, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 248, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 11, 2017, nominates <br /> Mr. Thomas Raffipiy of Council District 5 to the Hawai`i County Windward Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> Mr. Raffipiy has lived in Hawaii for over 30 years and is not affiliated with any political party. <br /> If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2021. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Nominee Raffipiy. <br /> Mr. Raffipiy appeared in person for this nomination. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Mr. Raffipiy. The vote was then taken with all <br /> Council Members voting "aye."
