• OJNtVofN , COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 211 i7 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO ORCHIDLAND NEIGHBORS IN SUPPORT OF A COMMUNITY CENTER IN ORCHIDLAND. WHEREAS, Orchidland Neighbors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to build a multi-purpose community center in Orchidland; and , WHEREAS, the proposed multi-purpose community center would have public space for a Farmer's Market, Food Basket distributions, emergency/disaster services, and meeting rooms that'would benefit the regional community, as well as Orchidland residents; and WHEREAS, Orchidland Neighbors is seeking funds to assist with the planning, design work, and permitting that would be required for construction of a multi-purpose community center; and WHEREAS,the Office of Housing and Community Development supports this grant because it provides for communityy capacity building, a rural facility that provides food distribution to those in need, and emergency services in times of crises; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Office of.Housing and Community Development to provide a grant to Orchidland Neighbors to assist with building its multi-purpose community center in Orchidland. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
