Complete Streets is a nation-wide program to help local jurisdictions design, build <br /> and operate streets which enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, <br /> motorists, and transit riders of all ages and abilities. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement(MOA) <br /> with the State of Hawai`i Department of Health for these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an <br /> ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $24,500 to the Department of <br /> Public Works DWP-DOH Complete Streets program account. <br /> The Department of Public Works is requesting that this bill be waived from Finance committee in <br /> order to process the appropriation during the current fiscal year.
