Re: Operating Budget
The Office of National Drug Control Policy is providing an additional $49,418 of federal funds to
be used towards combatting the methamphetamine (ICE) drug problem in the County of Hawai`i.
In the current fiscal year, $185,425 is appropriated for this grant account.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these
additional funds into the HI Impact Grant account, and bringing the total grant appropriation to
$234,843.
The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed
on the June 7, 2017 Council agenda in order to complete this transaction during the current fiscal
year. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Hauoli Aiona of the Hawaii County
Police Department at 961-2273.
