RESOLUTION NO. 225 17
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
NOMINEES TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES BOARD OF
DIRECTORS AND THE WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018.
WHEREAS, on April 24, 2017, the Hawai`i State Association of Counties Executive
Committee meeting approved the nominations to the National Association of Counties (NACo)
Board of Directors and Western Interstate Region(WIR) Board of Directors for fiscal year 2017-
2018; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to HSAC bylaws, each council shall take appropriate action on the
nominationsrior to the HSAC annual meeting; and

WHEREAS, HSAC bylaws further state that HSAC shall have two directors serving on
the NACo Board of Directors and two directors serving on the WIR Board of Directors who are
nominated to the position by the HSAC Executive Committee and the individual councils prior
to the HSAC annual meeting; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it
hereby approves the following HSAC nominations to the NACo Board of Directors:
1. Arryl Kaneshiro, Kauai County Council
2. Ikaika Anderson, Honolulu City Council
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the following HSAC nominations to the WIR Board of
Directors are hereby approved:
1. Mike White, Maui County Council
2. Dru Kanuha, Hawai`i County Council
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the President and Secretary of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties.
