NO. 601 (TMK: 7-5-04: 2 ) Copy of letter to Kenneth Griffin, Trustee, Hawaii Conference Foundation, from Planning Director Sidney Fuke dated September 19, 1977, granting a one-year time extension until September 16, 1978, for commencing construction upon the subject property. No. 521 : ROY TAKEYAMA EXTENSION OF TIME CONDITION - OUILI , SOUTH KOHALA (TMK: 6-2-01: 15 and 18) Copy of letter to Mr. Roy Takeyama from Planning Director Sidney Fuke dated September 8, 1977, granting time extension of one year until October 1, 1978, to comply with Condition B as stipulated in Ordinance No. 148. Receive and file. No. 522 : W.AIAKEA SQUARE From Tony Taniguchi, President, Hilo Downtown Improvement Association, dated. September 2 , 1977, expressing concern about a proposed new commercial development, Waiakea Square. Informs that in checking with the Planning Department, the area is zoned industrial; however, recent advertisements have toldof commercial spaces available at that location. No. 8'7° Date: _...�... ...,.. o PC-19 410 -2- 1110 September 28, 1977 (Cont 'd) No. 522 : Feels that since the Hilo Downtown Plan has not been implemented, it is premature to encourage any new commercial projects in Hilo at the present time, and until downtown Hilo is developed to its highest and best use; asks opinion of getting Waiakea Square rezoned from Industrial to Commercial or if the Planning Department is going to allow commercial use without rezoning. ORDINANCE Bill 337: AMENDMENT TO PARK DEDICATION CODE (CHAPTER 17) (AMENDED) Amends Chapter 17, Hawaii County Code, relating to the provision of land for parks and playgrounds or the payment of money in lieu thereof, as a condition precedent to final approval of a subdivision.
