Comm. .941: SIGN VARIANCE REQUEST FOR KOMOHANA GARDENS ASSOCIATION
From Pearl Tanemura, President, Komohana Gardens
Association, dated September 27, 1978 requesting.
approval to erect a permanent identification sign for
the Komohana Gardens subdivision which will not
exceed the area limitation of 32 square feet, will be
constructed of concrete base and lava rock pillar
supporting a redwood plank with carved lettering,
will not be illuminated, and would be located at the
entrance to said subdivision. Informs the portion of
the property upon which the proposed sign will be
erected has been cleared and landscaped and will
not create a hazard or an obstruction to traffic,::. or
pedestrians..`
ALL 941. 1: From Chief Engineer Edward Harada dated October 30,
1978 informing the proposed sign will be located on
a property zoned Single-Family Residential (RS-15)
and as such, should be limited in size to that
permitted by the sign regulation for similar signs
in such zoned areas; therefore, recommends approval
of the request with provisions, as listed;
recommends Council approve the request of the Komohana Gardens
Association for a sign variance, subject to provisions, as listed
in C-941. 1.
