Your Committee on Planning to which was referred:
'Bill 483: FIREWORKS CONTROL
Amends Chapter 3, Article 3, Hawaii County Code, as
amended, relating to fireworks control, and adding a
new subsection relating to aerial fireworks;
(Introduced by: Mr. Tajiri)
recommends Section 1, Chapter 3, Article 3, Section 2.02 (3) of
Bill 483 be amended to read as follows:
"The term ' aerial fireworks' shall mean and include:
Any combustible or explosive composition, or any substance or
combination of substances, or article prepared for the purpose
of producing, a visible ,and/or auditory effect by combustion,
explosion, deflagration or detonation, and which is self-
propelled /or which propells a missile,% and shall include,
but not be limited to, torpedoes.; rockets; or other similar
articles containing any explosive or combustible substance, _
which, when ignited, is self-propelled Lor propells a missile. ''/"
Further recommends Council approve and adopt Bill 483, as amended,
on second and final reading.
