Your Committee on Planning to which was referred:
• 'es. 603: KAILUA VILLAGE DESIGN PLAN
Directs the Planning Director and the Planning
Commission to favorably consider requests . for
rezoning to commercial and other uses which
conform to the land use and circulation plan set
forth in the Kailua Village Design Plan.
Further, that until the completion of the Queen
Kaahumanu Highway extension, the Kuakini Highway
Corridor projects, and the Kahaluu Water Distribution
System (Phase I and II) , changes of land use and
development in the Kailua Village area shall conform
to the Kailua Village Design Plan and high intensity
uses and developments on the periphery or outside of
the designated boundaries of the Kailua Village
Design Plan to be de-emphasized;
recommends Council approve and adopt Resolution 603 .
