The following are the recommendations of the Committee on Public Works
which were considered at its meeting of December 15 , 1976:
COMMUNICATIONS
No. 11: TOM VANCE HIGHWAY
From E. Alvey Wright, Director, State Department of
Transportation, dated November 19 , 1976 reiterating their
position against major improvements to the Saddle Road
or the Tom Vance Highway and states reasons, why.

,&c, C- No. 12: ROADWAY DEDICATION - KALAMAUKA SUBDIVISION, HOLUALOA 4th,
NORTH KONA (TMK: 7-7-03 :11)
From Stephen G. Bess, Assistant Corporation Counsel, dated
November 23, 1976 transmitting for acceptance the Dedication
Deeds for roadway within the Kalamauka Subdivision. Advises
the description of the roadway has been checked and found
to be acceptable for dedication by the Department of Public
Works; also that the roadway has been constructed according
to County standards.
Accept roadway dedication deed.
,6 C- No. 13 : ROAD DEDICATION DEED - KONA PALISADES_„ UNIT III
From Stephen G. Bess, Assistant Corporation Counsel , dated
November 24, 1976 transmitting for acceptance the Dedication
Deed for roadway within the Kona Palisades. Advises 'the
description of the roadway has been checked and found to be
acceptable for dedication by the Department of Public Works;
also that the roadway has been constructed according to
County standards.
Accept roadway dedication deed.
No. 14: MOTION 74 - KEAUHOU KONA SURF AND RACQUET CLUB CONDO
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated November 29 , 1976
reporting their findings on the cause of the Kona Condominium
fire; and states they are presently reviewing the 1976
Uniform Building Code for adoption and will consider the
subject fire situation in their study.
