The following are the recommendations of the Committee on Public Works
which were considered at its meeting of February 2, 1977:
COMMUNICATIONS
,6.. No. 92 : REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF GOVERNMENT LAND FROM GENERAL LEASE
NO. S-3751 TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR HILO HOSPITAL COMPLEX
AND ALLIED FACILITIES - TMK: 2-3-27-2 (Portion)
From Mayor Herbert T. Matayoshi dated January 10, 1977
informing the Department of Public Works has reviewed the
request of the Department of Land and Natural Resources and
recommends that the withdrawal of the, 13, 370 square foot
parcel from General Lease No. S-3751 be granted, subject
to DLNR being responsible for the subdivision preparation
and processing for approval and the withdrawal action; and
requests Council authorization for the Mayor to sign the
withdrawal request u letter concurringwith the withdrawal
q
processing.

me__ No. .100 TRANSFER OF FUNDS - WAIMEA FIRE STATION
(Res. 21) From Finance Director Stanley A. Nakamae dated January 14, 1977
informing the Waimea Fire Station is to be constructed with a
$470,000 Federal grant under the Public Works Employment Act
of 1976 and $150,000 in County funds. However, $50 ,000 in
Ordinance 46 have lapsed on June 30, 1976; therefore, in
order to meet the County' s commitment, requests that $50,000
be transferred from the Project Contingency Fundin Ordinance
128 to the Waimea Fire Station account.
Approve and recommend
adoption of Resolution 21.
